Our half-day 'Total Planting Plans' will take you through the process of using SketchUp and Layout to produce professional planting plan models and plant schedules similar to that you'd expect to see from alternative software such as Vectorworks.

Learn how to create dynamic customisable plant symbols, generate planting reports, and produce high quality setting out plans and presentations, this course will save you time and give you the skills to produce planting documentation that your clients will love and your planting contractors will thank you for, all using SketchUp Pro and Layout.
Subjects covered include:

Creating customisable plant symbols.

Developing a planting symbol library on your hard drive for easy access and repeated use.

Accurate placement and editing of planting symbols including positioning plants along a specified path.

Create planting reports to easily see how many of each plant you've included in your plan.

Correctly label and annotate your plan using Layout.

Add photographs to your presentations.
As with all of our SketchUp courses, you'll be given a comprehensive set of notes to take away with you and offered ongoing support once the course is over so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything you've learned.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS

A Windows PC or Mac that satisfies the minimum requirements for SketchUp Pro use.

SketchUp Pro (2020 or later).

Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of SketchUp Pro. Experience of using Layout would be useful but not essential.

A microphone and webcam connected to the computer you will be using to study on.

A mouse with a central scroll wheel. NOTE: trackpads are not suitable for working in SketchUp.

A good command of spoken English.
