As part of our Intermediate and Total Planting Plans courses, we teach our students how to use Sketchup for the easy creation of professional planting plans.
Using our system, designers can create a personalised library of plant symbols that are stored locally on their computers which can then be easily accessed and edited for the creation of professional planting schemes and plans. Each of the symbols has background information added to it, enabling the user to run reports that not only count the number of plants included in their plans, but also produce reports in spreadsheet format that displays information on each plant. This may include not only the plants botanical name, but it's common name, plant category, preferred aspect, it's height and spread, and even maintenance schedule details. Users can include whatever information they wish, making the creation of order lists for suppliers and contractors, or maintenance schedules for clients simple to produce.
It's a great system, but does take a little time to set up so we've saved you some of that time and put together a collection of 175 shrubs, perennials, grasses, ferns, and climbers, commonly used in UK gardens.
All plant symbols can have styles applied to them so that you can present your plans the way you wish

175 commonly used (UK) plant symbols, (90 Perennials, 50 Shrubs, 15 Climbers, 10 Grasses, 10 Ferns). All plant symbols come with embedded additional information including:

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of the library is £65.00.
For international students, an administration fee of 5% will be added in order to cover Paypal fees.
HOW DO I USE IT?
The library is designed to be used as part of the SketchUp for Garden Design planting plan process. As such, we strongly recommend that you sign up for our Total Planting Plans course, or to learn all about it as part of our Full SketchUp for Garden Design course. By doing so, you'll not only learn how to use the library to its full potential, but also how to create professional planting plans using, not only the library but any of your own plant symbols that you may wish to create and add to it.
